Desired Experience & Qualifications:

- Experience with various communication modes, including American Sign Language (ASL), auditory-oral approaches, and assistive technology.
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities for working with interdisciplinary teams, students, and families.

- Previous experience in a school setting supporting K-12 students is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique learning style and communication needs.
- Work directly with students to improve language acquisition, literacy, and academic achievement through specialized instructional strategies.
- Advocate for students by serving as a resource for teachers, administrators, and families.
- Adapt curriculum materials and utilize assistive technology to support access to the general education curriculum.
- Promote self-advocacy and social-emotional development among students.
- Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and ongoing progress monitoring.
