Key Qualifications:
- Current certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) education (appropriate Texas credentials)
- Experience delivering DHH instruction and support in educational settings
- Knowledge of various communication modalities (e.g., ASL, Oral, Total Communication)
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate individual student needs
- Strong collaboration skills for working across multiple campuses and with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct DHH services to students identified as Deaf or Hard of Hearing, tailored to their IEP goals
- Develop and implement individualized educational plans in coordination with classroom teachers and related service providers
- Foster inclusive and accessible learning environments, advocating for student access and participation
- Facilitate training and support for staff and families as needed
