Key Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education (DHH)
- Proven experience working as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- In-depth knowledge of evidence-based instructional strategies for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and legal compliance
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organization skills
- Comfortable with both virtual and in-person service delivery methods
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across multiple campuses
- Develop and adapt individualized lesson plans in alignment with IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service staff to ensure comprehensive support for students
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable insight on student needs
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive learning atmosphere where every student feels valued and understood
