Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- State teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) or eligibility for endorsement
- Experience supporting students with varying degrees of hearing loss in K–12 educational settings
- Expertise in developing and implementing IEPs for DHH students
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and familiarity with assistive listening devices
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with educational teams and families
- Ability to adapt teaching modalities to both virtual and onsite environments
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, accessible classroom culture
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative DHH services to students across five schools
- Collaborate with general and special education staff to design accessible instruction
- Develop, update, and monitor IEP goals in alignment with student needs
- Assess student progress and recommend appropriate accommodations and support strategies
- Serve as an advocate for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students within campus communities
- Offer training and resources to staff, families, and peers as needed
- Maintain compliance with all documentation and reporting requirements
This is a full-time role (37.5 hours/week) spanning the academic year (August 13, 2026–May 26, 2027).
