What you’ll need:
- Valid Massachusetts licensure for teaching Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Demonstrated expertise supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Comfortability working with diverse age groups, ranging from preschool through transition-aged students
- Effective communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Ability to create accessible, engaging lessons that foster language development and self-advocacy
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Providing direct instruction and support to students with hearing differences across grade levels
- Adapting and delivering curriculum materials to ensure accessibility
- Participating actively in IEP development meetings and progress reviews
- Consulting with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to optimize learning opportunities
- Supporting students’ development of self-advocacy and social-emotional skills
- Maintaining accurate documentation of student progress and communication logs
- Contributing to a positive, inclusive learning community
This is a W-2 contracted, hourly position, designed to maximize your expertise and passion while maintaining a manageable work-life balance.
