Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) - Peabody, Massachusetts

Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing license required
- Experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across a range of age groups (PreK-22)
- Strong understanding of instructional strategies and accommodations for hearing loss
- Comfortable collaborating with general education staff, support professionals, and families
- Knowledge of current assistive technology for D/HH students is highly valued
- Excellent communication, advocacy, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized instruction in accordance with student IEPs
- Support language development, literacy, and academic growth for D/HH students
- Provide consultation and training for school personnel and families on communication strategies and accommodations
- Conduct student assessments and contribute to IEP team meetings
- Monitor progress and adjust instructional approaches as needed
- Facilitate access to curriculum content through effective use of technology or resources
This part-time contract role is structured as a W-2 hourly position, allowing for schedule flexibility while working with a diverse caseload. You’ll directly empower students to build confidence and reach their goals within an inclusive school community.
