Key Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts DHH Teacher License
- Demonstrated experience in instructing Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in educational settings
- Expert knowledge of specialized teaching techniques, technologies, and communication methods relevant to DHH learners
- Ability to create individualized educational programs (IEPs) and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and advocacy skills, engaging students, families, and staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, adapting curriculum to meet each individual’s needs
- Develop and implement strategies to support language acquisition and access to curriculum content
- Work closely with general educators and support staff to promote inclusion and accessibility within the school environment
- Monitor and report student progress, adjusting approaches as needed to maximize growth
- Offer guidance and resources to families, empowering them to support student learning at home and in the community
This W-2 hourly contract position is part-time, offering 16-18 hours weekly. You will have the opportunity to serve a broad student population and enhance educational outcomes throughout the upcoming school year.
