Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Lawrence, MA

Key Experience and Licensure:
- Must hold an active Massachusetts Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TODHH) license issued by DESE
- Demonstrated experience as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing in elementary, middle, or high school settings
- Comfortable traveling between multiple schools to support students as assigned
- Strong skills in adapting curriculum, utilizing assistive technology, and implementing individualized education plans
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students across four school sites within the Haverhill area
- Collaborate with general educators, speech-language pathologists, and other support staff for integrated student success
- Assist with developing IEP goals and progress reports tailored to each student's needs
- Advocate for accessibility and inclusion, ensuring appropriate accommodations are in place
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and strategies for support
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations governing special education services
Opportunity and Schedule:
