Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Holds an active Massachusetts Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TODHH) License issued by DESE.
- Demonstrates experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in school settings.
- Skilled at creating and implementing individualized instructional strategies.
- Committed to fostering inclusive classroom environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with students, staff, and families.
- Familiarity with a range of assistive technologies and communication modalities is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students across four schools.
- Design, adapt, and modify curriculum to accommodate individual learning needs.
- Monitor student progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP processes.
- Consult and collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and family members.
- Provide training and resources to school staff on Deaf/Hard of Hearing access and accommodation strategies.
- Serve exclusively onsite, working hands-on within school communities.
