Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Live Oak, CA

Key Qualifications:
- Certification/licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience supporting K-12 students with a range of hearing needs
- Knowledge of cochlear implants and assistive listening technology
- Ability to design and implement individualized educational strategies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Willingness to travel daily between multiple sites within the county
- Commitment to maintaining an onsite presence (no virtual or remote work)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support to students with hearing impairments
- Create and adapt curriculum materials to meet IEP goals and ensure accessibility
- Consult and collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families
- Provide guidance on classroom acoustics and use of assistive devices
- Support students with cochlear implants, monitoring progress and troubleshooting needs
- Document student progress and participate in IEP meetings
