Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) - Live Oak, California

Qualifications:
- Valid teaching credential for Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
- Previous experience as a teacher of the deaf and hard of hearing, preferably in a K-12 setting
- Knowledge of cochlear implants, FM systems, and related assistive technology
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a countywide caseload
- Willingness and ability to travel between multiple sites
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing across various school sites
- Develop and adapt curriculum to meet students’ individualized needs
- Collaborate with educational teams, families, and related service providers
- Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation
- Foster self-advocacy and communication skills in students
- Consult with staff on best practices and accommodations
