Your expertise will be valued as you travel throughout the county to provide targeted support, advocacy, and instruction tailored to each student’s unique needs. Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification or credential to teach Deaf/Hard of Hearing students (required)
- Prior experience working with DHH students in a school setting strongly preferred
- Knowledge of assistive technology and communication methods, including cochlear implants
- Ability to adapt teaching styles to various student needs and environments
- Comfortable traveling within the county and managing a mobile caseload
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support to DHH students across multiple locations
- Adapt curriculum and teaching materials for students with varied communication methods
- Consult with educational teams, families, and other specialists
- Monitor student progress and document outcomes
- Provide advocacy and resources to empower students and staff
