An exciting full-time teaching opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing working with high school students in San Marcos, TX. Key qualifications include:

  • Undergraduate degree in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) education; a master’s degree is preferred
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Texas Department of Education (DOE) certification in DHH teaching
  • Experience with high school-aged students is highly valued

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the unique needs of students with hearing impairments
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with state standards
  • Collaborate with families, audiologists, and other educators to support student success
  • Foster communication skills utilizing ASL and other appropriate methods
