Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Ozark, Missouri

Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience working with elementary and/or junior high students preferred
- Strong understanding of educational and communication accommodations for students with hearing loss
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication modes is highly regarded
- Collaborative spirit and ability to work effectively as part of an educational team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing across the assigned school sites
- Develop and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet student needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and staff to implement accommodations and strategies
- Track student progress, maintain thorough documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide guidance and resources to families and colleagues regarding best practices in deaf education
- Create a positive, supportive learning environment that promotes student engagement and growth
