A dedicated educator is needed in Ridgecrest, CA, to support students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing during the 2026-2027 school year. This onsite contract position involves working closely with individual students to provide tailored instruction and support, ensuring their academic success and inclusion within the school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, adapting lesson plans to meet individual learning needs.
- Provide 1:1 support to enhance communication skills, literacy, and overall educational development.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to create and implement effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Utilize assistive technologies and educational resources appropriate for DHH learners.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certification or licensure to teach students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
