Key Qualifications:
- Current and active DOE certification required
- Previous experience as a Teacher for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing in school settings preferred
- Proficiency in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with staff, families, and students
- Must be able to complete fingerprinting and pass all required background checks
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, adjusting teaching methods to meet individual learning needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, tracking student progress and modifying goals as needed
- Serve as a resource for general education teachers, supporting inclusion and accessibility in classroom environments
- Collaborate with educational professionals, interpreters, and families to ensure comprehensive support services
- Engage in professional development to maintain current best practices within the field
This full-time role averages 35 hours per week with assignments determined by student and campus needs for the 2026–2027 school year, starting August 5th, 2026 and concluding May 19th, 2027.
