Empower students with hearing differences as a dedicated educator for Deaf and Hard of Hearing learners in the Chattanooga area. This full-time contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact across multiple school sites. Beginning August 5, 2026, and continuing through May 19, 2027, you’ll be part of a collaborative team committed to providing equitable educational opportunities for every student.

With approximately 35 hours each week, your expertise will touch the lives of learners across varied campus assignments.
Qualifications & Required Skills:
- Valid Department of Education Certification specific to teaching Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Previous experience in a Deaf/Hard of Hearing classroom or resource setting is highly desirable
- Strong skills in individualized instruction and accessible communication strategies
- Willingness and ability to travel between assigned schools within the district
- Completion of required fingerprinting and credentialing processes prior to start date
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and specialists to support inclusive learning environments
- Provide guidance and advocacy to ensure access to classroom content and resources
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and state standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and professional development related to Deaf/Hard of Hearing services
