Qualifications & Experience:
- Current certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience supporting students with varying levels of hearing loss
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress monitoring
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to effectively support both elementary and secondary students
- Background in adaptive teaching methods and assistive technology integration is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the district-wide resource teacher for deaf and hard of hearing students
- Deliver instruction tailored for diverse learner needs, with para support in the classroom
- Collaborate with general educators, staff, and families to support student goals
- Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Monitor, document, and report on student progress regularly
- Facilitate learning in person and, if preferred, via remote/VOCO instruction
- Travel between elementary and secondary campuses as needed
