Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) - Arlington, Texas

What we’re looking for:
- Certification as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist or equivalent credential recognized for school-based services
- Experience working in educational settings with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Strong understanding of instructional strategies, technology, and adaptive tools to foster accessible learning
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and advocacy skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility to provide support across varied classroom and resource settings
- Commitment to creating inclusive, supportive environments tailored to each student’s unique needs
Your key responsibilities:
- Assess student needs, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and implement tailored instructional strategies
- Provide direct and consultative services to students, supporting their academic, linguistic, and social development
- Partner with teachers and staff to integrate best practices and ensure full access to curriculum and school activities
- Work with families, providing resources, updates, and guidance to strengthen student progress at home and school
- Employ assistive technology, visual aids, and alternate communication methods as needed
- Participate in school meetings, professional development, and ongoing evaluation of programs and student outcomes
