School Sign Language Interpreter (Virtual)
As a Speech-Language Interpreter, you will provide virtual interpreting services to students while collaborating with teachers, families, and special education teams. You will help ensure students have consistent access to classroom instruction, communication, and educational services in their virtual learning environment.
This remote SLI position offers flexibility, independence, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a virtual setting.
Responsibilities
Provide virtual interpreting services to students throughout the school day
Facilitate communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers
Support student access to virtual classroom instruction and educational activities
Collaborate with teachers and special education teams to support student needs
Participate in virtual IEP meetings and educational team discussions as needed
Maintain accurate service documentation
Utilize virtual technology effectively to provide clear and accessible communication
Follow student IEPs and communication accommodations
Qualifications
EIPA score of at least 3.5 required
EIPA written test score preferred
Previous experience working with school-aged students
Previous virtual interpreting experience heavily preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
