Desired Experience and Skills:

  • Certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education
  • Skilled in developing and implementing IEPs for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
  • Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Experience supporting elementary age students preferred
  • Collaborative, flexible, and committed to fostering inclusive learning environments

Responsibilities:

  • Work full-time, Monday through Friday, within an elementary classroom
  • Assess student needs and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Develop and deliver specialized lessons to meet the needs of Deaf or Hard of Hearing students
  • Partner with school staff and families to promote student progress
  • Advocate for accessible, engaging learning for every child
