Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Forsyth, GA

- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to engage with staff, students, and families
- Ability to develop and adapt lesson plans to accommodate diverse learning needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, both individually and in small group settings
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and support staff to ensure curriculum accessibility
- Participate in IEP development and implement individualized accommodations and modifications
- Advocate for student needs and facilitate communication between students, families, and staff
- Monitor student progress, maintaining accurate and confidential records
- Offer guidance and support to colleagues on effective strategies and tools for teaching students with hearing loss
