Teacher of Deaf and Hard of Hearing
A district in Glendale Heights, IL, is now looking to hire a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher (DHHT) for a current, full-time opening for the 2026–2027 school year. This itinerant position will support students across multiple school locations, including the middle school and two elementary schools. Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction and support services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Travel between assigned school locations, including the middle school and two elementary schools.
Develop and implement individualized instruction aligned with student IEP goals.
Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families to support student success.
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation related to educational services.
Support students' communication, academic, and social development.
Experience:
Previous experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a school-based setting is preferred.
Experience in an itinerant teaching role is a plus.
Education:
Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) required.
Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) endorsement required.
