Step into a contract opportunity dedicated to supporting students from PreK through 12th grade as a Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. There are two full-time positions available, beginning as soon as possible and continuing through June 6, 2027. Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience working with PreK-12 students with varying degrees of hearing loss
- Proficiency with assistive listening devices and adaptive technology
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including general and special education staff
- Strong communication, organizational, and advocacy skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instructional support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, individually and in group settings
- Develop and implement tailored lesson plans that promote academic growth and accessibility
- Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum materials and classroom environments
- Monitor student progress, provide ongoing assessment, and maintain thorough documentation
- Serve as a resource, offering guidance and training to staff and families regarding effective communication strategies and technology use
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to team planning for student success
Role Details:
- Full-time contract, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am–2:40 pm
- Engage with students across all grade levels, ensuring a dynamic and impactful workday
