Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) - Redwood City, California

In this onsite-only role, you’ll work alongside a dedicated team, providing tailored instruction and essential support for students to help them achieve their academic and personal goals.
Key Qualifications:
- Education Specialist Instruction Credential in Deaf & Hard of Hearing, or a valid California Special Education Credential authorizing instruction for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Experience working with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in educational settings preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills
- Committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instructional services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in a classroom setting
- Adapt and modify curriculum to meet individual student learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure student success
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals, monitor progress, and participate in IEP meetings
- Utilize visual, auditory, and assistive technology resources to enhance educational access
- Foster a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere, supporting the social-emotional development of all students
