Qualifications and Experience:
- State certification or appropriate licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience with a range of communication modalities (ASL, oral, total communication, etc.)
- Ability to individualize instruction and develop IEP goals
- Strong organizational, collaboration, and communication skills
- Passion for advocating for students with hearing differences
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative services to students as indicated by IEPs
- Develop engaging, accessible lesson plans and learning materials
- Assess student progress and adjust strategies as needed
- Work closely with general education teachers, administrators, and support personnel
- Partner with families to support student growth and inclusion
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation consistent with district protocols
