Key Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience working with K-12 students, preferably in itinerant or school-based settings
- Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and assistive technology
- Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and families
- Excellent communication, organization, and advocacy skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support services to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students across multiple grade levels
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s needs
- Facilitate inclusion and provide resources to general education staff
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Engage families and community partners to ensure comprehensive support for student success
