Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid DESE license required
- Background in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education (ToDHH)
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes, accommodations, and assistive technology
- Ability to adapt and modify curriculum based on student needs
- Clear communication skills: spoken, written, and sign language proficiency preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students across various grade levels
- Develop, monitor, and update individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assess student needs; confirm and manage appropriate caseloads
- Collaborate with staff and families to support student goals and inclusion
- Provide consultation and training for teachers and support staff on best practices
- Foster a positive, equitable classroom environment focused on access, engagement, and student achievement
