Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current DESE (Department of Elementary and Secondary Education) license required
  • Certified as or experienced in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist and/or Teacher for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (ToDHH)
  • Prior experience working with school-aged children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing preferred
  • Ability to adapt to varying caseload sizes and school environments
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction and support to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary school teams to develop and implement IEPs
  • Adapt teaching strategies and materials to ensure accessibility and comprehension
  • Partner with families, staff, and administrators to optimize student outcomes
  • Confirm caseload details and manage all documentation as required
