Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher (DHH) in Lowell, MA

Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid and active DESE license required
- Demonstrated expertise as a Teacher of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing (ToDHH)
- Strong knowledge of instructional strategies, language development, and assistive technology for students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Ability to create and implement IEP goals and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, adapting lessons to meet individual needs
- Develop and implement IEPs, track progress, and document outcomes
- Consult with classroom teachers, service providers, and families to foster an accessible learning environment
- Offer guidance on amplification devices, classroom modifications, and communication strategies
