Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing or Special Education (state certification preferred)

- Strong knowledge of Deaf culture, hearing assistive technologies, and differentiated instruction
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is highly desirable
- Excellent communication, organizational, and advocacy skills

Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instructional support to students with hearing loss, both in mainstream and specialized settings
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Adapt curriculum, create accessible materials, and utilize assistive technology to ensure student participation
- Serve as a resource for staff on best practices and accommodations for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Monitor and document student progress, maintaining effective communication with the educational team
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing training
