Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- State certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, or ability to obtain
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Deaf Education or closely related field

- Experience working with K-12 students preferred
- Collaborative spirit, adaptability, and strong communication skills
- Knowledge of IEP procedures and best practices for differentiated instruction
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction tailored to students with hearing impairments in various educational settings
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to support student achievement and inclusion
- Develop and implement individualized education plans, track progress, and adjust interventions
- Advocate for student needs, provide classroom accommodations, and support use of assistive devices
- Deliver professional guidance to staff and families on hearing loss and communication strategies
- Maintain accurate records and participate in team meetings to ensure cohesive student support
