Desired Qualifications:
- Current DHH (Deaf/Hard of Hearing) teaching certification/license valid in California.
- Previous direct experience within California schools strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills for travel and managing an itinerant caseload.
- Excellent communication skills, fostering collaboration with staff, families, and students.
- Professional adaptability and confidence working independently across different sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and academic support to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in-person.
- Provide expertise and accommodations that enable communication access and inclusivity.
- Develop and implement IEPs, progress monitoring, and goal-setting with educational teams.
- Serve as an itinerant resource, traveling between school sites as assigned.
- Offer consultation and guidance to general education staff to support successful mainstreaming.
- Maintain up-to-date case documentation and reporting aligned with district and state requirements.
