Working as an itinerant teacher, you will provide direct, in-person instruction and support across various locations—helping students thrive academically and socially. What we’re seeking:
- Valid and active California DHH (Deaf/Hard of Hearing) teaching certification or license
- Experience working in California schools preferred
- Ability to organize a flexible schedule while servicing a caseload across multiple campuses
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Passion for advocating and facilitating inclusive, accessible learning environments
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to DHH students at various school sites
- Design and implement educational plans in accordance with students’ IEPs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies as needed
- Serve as a resource and advocate for students, ensuring equitable access to curriculum
