Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) | Fremont, California

This contract opportunity allows you to work onsite, providing face-to-face instruction and support across multiple school sites. As an itinerant DHH teacher, you’ll collaborate with educators and families, ensuring every student receives individualized guidance to thrive academically and socially.
Assignment Details:
- In-person, onsite role (not virtual)
- 37.5 hours per week
- Contract dates: August 10, 2026 – June 4, 2027
- Itinerant position across multiple school sites
- Focused on direct support for DHH students, replacing a virtual program
Ideal Qualifications:
- Active California DHH certificate or teaching licensure
- Prior experience in California schools preferred
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple caseloads and sites
- Effective communicator, comfortable collaborating with teams and families
- Dedication to fostering inclusive, accessible learning environments for all
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Delivering individualized and group instruction to DHH students
- Adapting curriculum and materials for accessible learning
- Consulting with general education staff, specialists, and families
- Creating and maintaining educational plans in accordance with student needs and IEPs
- Monitoring progress, documenting outcomes, and contributing to student success
- Traveling between assigned school sites to provide consistent, in-person support
