Desired Qualifications:
- Hold a current Education Specialist Instruction Credential in Deaf & Hard of Hearing, or a valid California Special Education Credential authorizing instruction for students with hearing impairments
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based instructional strategies for students who are deaf and hard of hearing
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Previous classroom or school-based experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to school-aged students who are deaf or hard of hearing, following individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Adapt curriculum materials and teaching strategies to meet student needs and promote best outcomes
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service providers to support student learning and inclusion
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Monitor student progress, conduct assessments, and actively participate in IEP team meetings
- Implement supportive classroom management practices
- Foster a positive and accessible learning environment
This position is full-time, onsite only (remote and hybrid options are not available) and follows a traditional academic schedule, totaling 37.5 on-site hours weekly.
