Key Qualifications:
- Valid Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing certification or license issued by the state of California
- Previous experience in California schools strongly preferred
- Strong organizational skills for managing multiple sites and caseloads
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Comfortable with an on-site, multi-campus approach; not open to virtual/remote options
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction to students with hearing differences across a range of school settings
- Adapt curriculum and learning materials to meet the individual needs of each student
- Collaborate closely with general and special education teams, as well as families
- Provide consultative support and training to staff regarding Deaf/Hard of Hearing accommodations and best practices
- Monitor and document student progress, preparing timely reports
- Facilitate student advocacy and communication skill development
- Comply with IEP processes and all district/state/federal guidelines
This opportunity spans from August 10, 2025, through June 4, 2026, with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week, fully on-site, offering a steady and engaging workday while positively influencing the lives of students and their communities.
