Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing certification or license issued by the state of California
  • Previous experience in California schools strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills for managing multiple sites and caseloads
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Comfortable with an on-site, multi-campus approach; not open to virtual/remote options

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction to students with hearing differences across a range of school settings
  • Adapt curriculum and learning materials to meet the individual needs of each student
  • Collaborate closely with general and special education teams, as well as families
  • Provide consultative support and training to staff regarding Deaf/Hard of Hearing accommodations and best practices
  • Monitor and document student progress, preparing timely reports
  • Facilitate student advocacy and communication skill development
  • Comply with IEP processes and all district/state/federal guidelines

This opportunity spans from August 10, 2025, through June 4, 2026, with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week, fully on-site, offering a steady and engaging workday while positively influencing the lives of students and their communities.
