Ideal candidates will have:
- Valid certification or credential in Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) education
- Previous experience teaching or providing services to students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing (K-12 preferred)
- Knowledge of various communication modalities, including sign language, auditory/oral methods, and assistive technology
- Strong ability to collaborate with school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Organizational skills to manage a caseload across multiple campuses
- Flexibility to deliver services both onsite and virtually
- Passion for advocacy, inclusivity, and individualized instruction
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide direct instruction and DHH support services in accordance with students’ IEPs
- Adapt and modify curriculum materials for accessibility and engagement
- Consult and collaborate with classroom teachers and related service providers
- Monitor, assess, and document student progress, communicating regularly with families
- Support school-wide efforts toward inclusivity and accessibility
- Attend and contribute to IEP and staff meetings as required
- Travel between assigned campuses as needed to meet caseload requirements
