Step into an impactful opportunity supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in an onsite, school-based setting. This contract role begins August 10, 2026, and continues through June 4, 2027, offering the chance to make a difference across multiple school sites. You’ll provide direct, in-person services (no virtual teaching needed), joining a supportive educational team dedicated to empowering students every day.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid and active DHH (Deaf/Hard of Hearing) certification or licensure in California
- Previous experience in California schools is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills and reliable follow-through
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Adaptability and confidence to support students in an itinerant role
- Ability to collaborate across school teams and with students of varying ages
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve multiple school sites as an itinerant Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Deliver direct, in-person instruction and support to students with varying hearing needs
- Partner with general education teachers and support staff to implement effective accommodations and modifications
- Track student progress, maintain documentation, and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Engage with families to support student learning and foster positive relationships
- Maintain a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours, fully onsite
