Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required
- Valid California Education Specialist Instruction credential (Deaf and Hard of Hearing)
- Strong instructional and conversational signing skills
- Committed to working onsite, supporting grades 6–8
- Passion for fostering inclusive educational settings
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, differentiated instruction to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in a middle school environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to implement IEP goals and promote student success
- Facilitate communication and language development using signing and other modalities
- Assess student progress, maintain documentation, and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings
- Provide advocacy and mentorship, empowering students to become confident self-advocates
- Support a positive classroom atmosphere that respects each learner’s unique needs
This full-time opportunity (37 hours weekly, Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:00 pm) is fully onsite and suited to educators seeking to make a lasting impact within a supportive school community.
