Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Teaching certification with a Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement (or eligibility)
- Experience providing direct instruction and support to students with hearing impairments
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with general education staff, families, and support personnel
- Passion for fostering inclusive classrooms and advocating for student success
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to 3 DHH students at the elementary site and 2 DHH students at the junior high
- Adapt and modify curriculum based on unique student needs and IEP requirements
- Provide consultation and resources for classroom teachers and support staff
- Collaborate with audiologists, speech-language pathologists, and related service providers
- Conduct ongoing assessments and maintain required documentation
- Foster a positive, communicative, and accessible learning environment
