Desired Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure for teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Previous experience working with preschool and kindergarten-aged children preferred
- Strong understanding of educational strategies and accommodations for students with hearing loss
- Ability to develop and adjust Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with staff, parents, and support professionals
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instructional services to preschool and kindergarten students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Adapt curricular materials and teaching methods to meet students’ individual needs
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and participation
- Coordinate with general education teachers and related service providers to implement effective instructional strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team planning sessions
- Support student inclusion and engagement within the classroom and broader school community
