DHH Teacher | Norristown, Pennsylvania

Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education, or eligibility for certification
- Proven experience as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing in a K-12 setting
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation, including comp minutes
- Ability to deliver differentiated instruction in both individual and small group formats
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between school sites
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students at multiple campuses
- Partner with general and special education staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and maintain detailed records of service minutes and outcomes
- Collaborate with educational teams to adapt curriculum and classroom environments for accessibility
- Offer consultative services to teachers and staff, promoting awareness and accommodations
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations for special education services
