Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Philadelphia, PA

Successful candidates will bring:
- Current certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Knowledge of best practices for instructing students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Willingness and ability to travel between school locations as an itinerant educator
- Strong understanding of implementing and managing comp minutes
- Flexibility and adaptability in varied educational settings
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience with assistive technology or alternative communication methods preferred
In this role, you will:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with hearing loss, aligned with each student’s unique needs
- Work across several schools, planning schedules and services based on assignment and student caseload
- Maintain and track comp minutes as required for compliance and service delivery
- Consult and collaborate with general educators, SLPs, audiologists, and families to support student success
- Provide resources and training to staff regarding accommodations, equipment, and deaf awareness
- Adapt curriculum and materials as needed, fostering inclusive environments for every learner
- Support IEP meetings with meaningful input and documentation
